  Thank you! I was used to my mom fighting her doctors and just some memories that an 8-10 year old shouldn't have had. Kinda makes this a bit scarier thinking I'm going to go down her same path. As a home patient I was very much a part of her care. But my endocrynologist is supposed to be one of the best in the area, now just onto the neph (if the endo would call back) I'm just trying to get the facts, thank you so much :-)

  You're very welcome! The people who have spouses and family support don't know how good they have it! All during my married life my husband and I were best of friends so neither he or I really every hung out with anyone else. I guess you know how hard that is. However, that being said I'm trying really hard to get by on my own. Dialysis and bill paying takes up a lot of time lol I have my own home so there is maintenance and general upkeep too. I'm sending a gift with this message and you can unwrap it or not as you choose. It is a gift of "I will not give any more of me up to pkd." Pkd and dialysis has taken up a lot of my time and consideration. My oldest son also has pkd. unfortunately. I had my two sons prior to my dx... I do my best to make a little time just for me, even if it's a few minutes online or with a cup of tea and quiet time. I don't go out hardly at all but once in awhile treat myself to a burger and some fries, or a breakfast at the diner. There isn't much in the budget for anything else but It helps to splurge once in awhile if only for something small just for me. I do my best to dress nicely and wear makeup ect.. nothing fancy as I only wear jeans most of the time but I find that I feel better when I look nice. Just my thoughts on pkd and dealing with it. I hope you enjoy the group and the friendships you make. Lin.
