Journal Entry for November 5, 2009 Mood
Thursday, November 5, 2009 | A Rambling story
I woke up feeling 75 percent better today.  Missed my birthday dinner yesterday with family but they "understand"  Since I was unable to fully dress or even dress myself, my mom has agreed FINALLY to make me something to keep my upper body contained so I am able to still function during work. I hope it works cuz I am fairly chesty and I can't not go without support.  Right now I'm not as swollen or painful so I wait until my next one comes!!

I am wondering where you have your cysts on your "upper body"? I too am chesty. 44 DD and MUST go without a bra at home a LOT! Anyway I get cysts on and under my breasts, as well as armpits and betweenmy breast :-( I was wondering if perhaps you did too? Anyway I have an awesome suggestion that worked wonders for me when I had a career and simply could NOT go to work without a bra! Use a tube top! Yes I know, they look hideous and trasy (in my opinion) on big chested (or overweight) women, BUT if you wear it UNDER your blouse like a bra it will hold your breast in place ( ok so you wont have those perky girls but hey! what do you care when you hurt?!) The tube top conceals the nipple so it doesnt show through your blouse like it does when you dont wear a bra (Ive breastfed so my nipples are VERY prominent and worriesome to me to have poking through my blouse at work!) the tube top also provides enough support that you look as if you are in the very least wearing a sports bra. I went and got me a tube top that was 2 sizes smaller than what I normally wear (for added support and control) and NO ONE ever guessed that I had it on under my clothes, my mom was shocked even! LOL. The tube top also does not fit tightly under the armpit ( and can EASILY be moved lower if necessary, and even "folded down" ) so it doesn't bother the cysts that I have there..believe me it works wonders, even if it is less than fashionable! LOL.
Another suggestion you might try that I used when I had cysts flaring up on my breasts but my armpits were good, I wore my nursing bra and simply undid the cup hook to releive pressure and give less support to my breast so that it fit more like a sports bra as well and releived the "support pressure" that so many bras place on our breasts. The cups NEVER fell down and kept "the girls" neatly confined and nipple tamed from poking through my blouse and showing! LOL! Walmart has nursing bras (even 44DD) for $11.00 in their bra section, ask an associate or look for one yourself and take it to the fitting room and see for yourself how wonderfully this works. I hope this helps!
