Hey Snoopy,
I'm really glad that you are reaching out in all directions. Having support networks is really necessary.
You'll get through this, and you'll wake up one day and realize that, in some ways, things are even better. Hard to believe, I know, but I've seen it in my own situation and in that of friends.
Be gentle with yourself. Journal. See a therapist if you can. Do some nice things for yourself that feed you. And just keep walking, and breathing and reaching out. It will get easier.

I'm so glad that you joined the Self Esteem group! Welcome!
I think that you and I have similar stories as far as being left and understanding why... I'm 4 years down the road and in a good place with it, for the most part.

Wife told me in September that she wants a divorce - completely shocked me. We have two kids (11 and 13). She refuses couples counseling and hired an attorney. I am trying to get to the acceptance stage via therapy and friends.
Treatments
- Forgiveness Working / Worked
- I am forgiving wife for affair (whatever it is) realizing that a relationship takes two.
- Leave Working / Worked
- One of the best remedies since we still live together and she is acting so casually. And it is nice just to do some things on my own.
- Music Working / Worked

- Have 2 good dogs with lots of walking.

Wife is filing for divorce and I'm starting to prepare myself as I keep the house and we share custody of our 2 kids every 7 days.
Open Infidelity
Wife is having an affair and has asked for a divorce. We simply grew apart but that's no excuse. She refuses couples therapy and just wants the divorce done asap. Unfortunately we are still in the same house until the lawyers work it out (at least a temporary deal). I've asked her to leave. We have 2 kids (13 and 11).
