Married w/ 2 kids F: 38, M: 21 Housewife w/ Epilepsy: 30 (possibly over 50) yrs, COPD: 5-6 yrs, osteopenia: 1 yr. Firm believer in Education & support for Epilepsy, now ready to learn more about COPD Philosophy: One Day at a Time Passion: Ignorance about disorders, illnesses. This includes DRS, nurses, police & EMT's as well as the general public. I have been a counselor/advocate for Epilepsy on WebMD for over 15 yrs. I fully understand the need for support groups. :)

Support Groups
Close COPD & Emphysema
Dx w/ COPD over 5 yrs ago. By the ER. My Family DR, at that time, refused to see me to treat me. Located a Pulmonary DR. Then a new FD (Internalist) who bases his office on his patients needs. So, was able to be tested on the spot, instead of being sent all over the city. Last spirometer test showed 36% of right lung is damaged. Am currently on Advair & Spiriva. Albuterol as needed. My medication works for me at this time. My major concern is having another attack that MITE trigger seizures.
