Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis not very long ago, and am going through a rough time. Can't hurt to try to talk to others about it who are more experienced than I am. =)

Asacol Too Soon to Tell

I was prescribed Rowasa, and through much aggravation with the pharmacy screwing up the price and whether insurance covered it or not, I got it. Took it, the next morning the little patch of flesh under my tongue was swelled up (nothing else) so I am not sure if it was a small side effect or if I am allergic. Taking a few days off these medicine and trying again later (doctor recommendation).

Lialda Too Soon to Tell

I started taking this 4 days after I was diagnosed... 4 days later I was feeling almost 100% better, but it only lasted 3 days when it all went down hill and now I am having serious problems. Not sure if I am allergic to Mesalamine or not (read Rowasa comment).

Hydrocortisone Too Soon to Tell

So far it seems like this is the only thing doing anything for my flare up. I went a week without being able to sleep through a night... and then a weekend with out sleep started taking this and immediately was able to sleep through the night. So I hope it is working.
