Journal Entry for May 10, 2007 Mood
Thursday, May 10, 2007
We have had a good week. My youngest "only" got two yellow slips at school this last two weeks. He was so proud of himself. We are usually at a solid four by now. We changed his meds a month ago but didn't say anything to the school. We had the teachers feel out a questionaire about his behavior in their classes. Everyone of them commented about how much better his attention has been in class the last few weeks. Yah! I can't wait to tell his pediatrician. Next problem...school is almost out. This is never been a good thing at my house. I have to start coming up with our summer routine.

Hopefully this med will help out long term. Our sone metabolizes his medication to the point where he has to cycle through meds every 5 weeks or so. He gets 2 great weeks, 2 OK weeks, and one iffy week, then cycles to the next med which gives him 2 great weeks, 2 OK weeks, one iffy week, then change again, and again, and again...

We use summer day camps where we go in and interview the staff before hand and tell them what to expect out of him. He spends 2 weeks in day camp then one week home, then 2 in day camp, then home, then back to camp then school. This keeps him busy.

    Good luck :)
