Well, the IEP meeting went better than usual. I talked to my hubby before I went. He thinks I am mean to the SE counselor. I told him that ever since she tried to tell me that she didn't have to ask my permission to test my son, her and I have had a problem. I wanted him tested but she needs to know that I most certainly have the right to say yes or no to testing. I am a viable member of the IEP team. I decided to try and go in to the IEP with a more positive approach. I told one of his teachers that I thought they have done a great job in inspiring him to right. I told another teacher that my son had really enjoyed learning about stocks and he wanted to teach me. I think it really helped open the doors with these two teachers to do something I have wanted for awhile which was a weekly progress report. They both gave me their email addresses and also the address of the other teachers my son has. yah!
