Close Fibromyalgia
Have had FM/CFS for a few years and have tried everything, as most of you have, and have found relief, to some degree, with the Fentanyl Pain Patch and the new drug, Savella. I'm getting some sleep now, the pain is manageable and I'm continuing to work on diet, exercise, sleep and supplements.
Treatments
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- We sit in our hot tub nightly but I can't say as it does much. My problem is that I need the relief in my neck and shoulders and it's hard to stay down that low ... w/o getting too hot.
- Cyclobenzaprine Not Working
- Did nothing for me.
- Cymbalta Not Working
- Did nothing for me.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- Working well for me. Pain level at best in years and no constipation!! Using with Savella and having good results.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- I was on this for years for depression but switched to Cymbalta for better pain relief but it did not work for me. Then tried Pristiq but it didn't do much either.
- Elavil Not Working
- Tried it but did not work for me.
- Heat Working / Worked
- I have one of those that I can put in the microwave. Has a clay-like substance inside that really retains the heat. Got it at Walmart, I think. Works great! You can freeze it or heat it. About ten bucks! Get one!!
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- On Lyrica for a year before Savella. Did little to nothing for me. Gaba/Neurontin still the best for me.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- This is absolutely the best drug I've used. Among all the rest. I continue to take two 800mg tabs three times a day and it works well for me.
- TENS Working / Worked
- Have a unit at home and it works a little bit.
- Ultram Not Working
- Tried it and it did not work for me.
