Close Chronic Pain

I wiped out on a bicycle, impacting my hip hard enough to fracture my hip at the ball socket, with strong bones. Have been decreasing the meds since the operation, to one vicadin 7.5/325 a day..at most two but don't have refill to end of month for more than one a day. Wonder if anyone else out there is recouping, or has experience with this. Prayerful to avoid avascular necrosis and wondered what the symptoms were and how long chronic pain. I am just starting month 4 post-0p

Treatments

Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked

Seemed to adjust the twist my pelvis took, Have been unable to pop the hip that is twisted in the socket yet.

Heat Working / Worked

I am on a far infrared heating pad. Really helped with circulation at the onset. Cleared up a skin condition as well!

Hydrocodone Working / Worked

Hydrocodone is the only thing that seems to work well. I am down to rather low dosage I believe, but like a couple, rarely more than 3 light beers PM. Wonder if this is counter productive to healing this condition, or just makes life easier to tolerate.

Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful

Not working with PT, but seems to be aleviating pain somewhat now. I waited til month 3 due to extreme pain that seemed abnormal. Better now.
