Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
I recently had outpatient urethral surgery and the day after my catheter was removed I developed severe pain in my right upper leg which was diagnosed as 2 large DVT's. I am now on Coumadin for 6 months.
Treatments
- Coumadin Too Soon to Tell
- So far it appears to be working. It was very painful to walk and the pain has subsided by about 80%. So far no side effects.
- Lovenox Working / Worked
- I was first started with these injections, twice daily, and immediately I noticed an improvement. The pain was eased by about 25%. Very uncomfortable injections but no side effects.
