I'm interested in people who have or had Hep C, been through the treatment or not.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I was 43 had a breakdown was hospitalized and started attending an day treatment program. It involved behavioral therapy skills and medication. 8 years later I am fully on the road to recovery. Its been a long haul but I can now say it was worth every minute.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI was diagnosed with clinical depression after having a nervous breakdown at the age of 42.
Treatments
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- Intensive day trtmt for 8 yrs. I've gone to the satellite program, support group, graduating soon. It has been a life changing experience for me.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Best one, I tend to top out after 2 or so years, this one I've been on for 3.
- Effexor Somewhat Helpful
- Meditation Working / Worked
- I'm not consistent, but working on it.
- Prozac Somewhat Helpful
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Again, a life changing support.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Am just weaning off. Down to 50 mg. Not something you can come off quickly.
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- It took awhile for them to understand, but I've got some good, close friends now and my family is pretty much on board.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- I used it for about 3 yrs to sleep.
- Writing Working / Worked
- This has been my life source.
- Walking Working / Worked
- If I dont get out walk everyday I struggle more with the depression.
