About Me
I am a mom living with leukemia. I have been undergoing a chemo treatment for two years now. Along with keeping the leukemia at bay, the chemo is attacking my bones and joints. I continue to work full time as my prescriptions run about a thousand dollers a month. I have four daughters, three who are adult and my six year old who is my reason for living. I try to keep one foot in front of the other and a smile on my face.

my prayers are with you and your family.My daughter just found out about a year ago that she also has Cml, she is taking Gleevec and going to Ann Arbor to see a specialist in cml.She is doing ok she has bad and good days. kmpkazoo.

Close Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)
Hi, I am a single mom who was diagnosed with CML in feb. 2005. I have been on Gleevec for two years now. I struggle with the side effects from moderately to severely. But I continue to work full time to support myself and my little girl.
Treatments
- Gleevec Working / Worked
- Holding the leukemia at bay. Side effects are severe bone and joint pain, constant exhaustion, nausea etc. I am on about 6 drugs to try to control the side effects.
Close Chronic Pain
I have CML. The chemo drug I am on indefinetly has made my bones and joints hurt constantly. We are trying different combinations to try to make life more livable.
Treatments
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- I hope its working. I guess without it I would probably be in alot more pain. I don't like the addictive properties though.
