Close Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
From before the age of one, I knew that my son was different, there just wasn't something right. I have been told by many doctors and therapists that he is only 2 or 3 or 4. He is now 6 and all the same issues are still prevelant, and that is with medication. He has yet to be diganosed because of his age, however he has all the classic signs of being bipolar and having some severe ODD. He has been a string of meds and the docs have tossed around the idea that he was ADHD and had an undiganosed mood disorder, but honestly for five years we have gotten no where. He has been committed twice in the past 6 months. I have two other boys with no issues, there is no real family history of any issues, and I am pulling my hair just to try to survive, keep my job and hold my family together.

I believe my son has signs and symtoms of bipolar disorder, however he is not being diagnosed with it, just ODD and CD
Treatments
- Abilify Working / Worked
- working
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- no longer taking it, however it worked wonderfully. it caused tooth decay (very rare) so we took him off of it
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- Gained about 20 lbs on this med, the good thingis that the meds are working, but theeffects of them are short lived, two months max before dosage has to be increased,
