    • About Me

Recently retired elementary teacher-- I was divorced in 2004 after 34 yrs of marriage (I wanted out. ) In Dec 2006 I met an amazing man, another teacher, also now retired, on eHarmony. We were married on 3-17-08. We each had an older daughter and a younger son. My son Michael was the youngest of the 4. We lost him very unexpectedly on May 22, '09, at the age of 28. This has been a devastating experience and we are trying to learn to cope.

A day or two after Kala's accident I opened her CD player. The CD was entitled THERE'S NEVER A RIGHT TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. When my husband cleaned out her car and brought her stuff home he placed her notebook on the table. (she was a senior in high school). It fell open to a spelling test. His eyes went immediately to, THE DRIVER SWERVED TO THE LEFT TO AVOID BEING BUFFETED BY THE OTHER CAR. I knew she was telling us what happened. Kala had swerved to the left, then over corrected and lost control when a car changed lanes and almost hit her. I have NO doubts my child talks to me. Our "rainbow" icon is a new one. I had begun writing journals about my lost rainbow and trying to find my rainbow again. Within a week we had a new icon to send....a rainbow! When we open our eyes it's amazing what we can see. I can't wait to find out what Kala will do next!

I have been on on and off. I always check in on everyone, somedays I am just not in the talking mood. I was at a conference on Friday all it was good. I am actually doing OK this week. I have my very tearful moments but I just feel more ... even might be the word. My son and a friend are coming home from college today for the night so that will be fun and my other two are just busy with HS things , I hope you are doing well, thank you for checking on me. Love you Wendy
