About Me
I am a 47 year old mother of three: a daughter, 20; a son, 17; and a son 6. I have chosen to be a stay-at-home mom even though I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. I have been married for 23 years. I am a practicing Lutheran. I love to sing in our church choir. I have just started scrapbooking. I also enjoy dabbling in interior design.

Close Menopause
I began peri-menopause about 9 years ago. My first symptom was Restless Legs Syndrome, but I didn't get RLS every night, only on the nights of my cycle when my progesterone was supposed to be up and estrogen down. Then I had an early term miscarriage. I was put on Prometrium, a bio-identiclal progesterone. Two years later I surprisingly became pregnant. A difficult pregnancy that ended in a premature birth. Post partum depression came in quickly and full force. Once I stopped nursing I was able to go on anti-depressants and Prometrium. . Recently new sympoms have cropped up: lack of interest in just about everything, decreased mental acquity, and some memory loss.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- During postpartum depression. It was good to have someone to talk to.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- I prefer this to ambien but there is no generic.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Depression is a sideeffect of Prometrium.
