New dose seems to keep the pains at bay, for the most part - very brief light breakthrough pains responding to Ibuprofen (headaches and jaw pain) and/or a liberal dose of Bonjela (gum/jaw pain). Woke in pain early this morning because I had rolled onto my 'bad side' (left), but the pain didn't linger too long.
Received referral to neurologist - given a choice of 4 hospitals, but when I 'log on' to book online, only one has any appointments, with a 62 day wait... Hobson's Choice, then. Booked an appointment for 11 January.

Your appointment is ages away! Such a shame you could not get in earlier. I am in same boat - not for a TN appointment, but for an appointment with an Endocrinologist to see if I have Acromegaly (which could be causing TN pains for me as my head is getting bigger). I have been waiting over 2 months since an M.E. consultant I saw (long story) said I needed to see an Endocrinologist ASAP... that's the NHS I guess... I feel lucky that I will ever see anyone as I know that is not the case in all countries, but still!

I know... but when I read some posts, I just feel lucky that my prescription is now working, as I see others here still very much in pain. I did read your post on your 'long story', and I wondered how some of these 'professionals' can sleep at night...
