Had pool tonite, used to love it and couldn't wait for tuesdays...

Stayed away from the group pretty much unless I had to shoot...

Didn't talk much...but hey I was out of the house right...

Had only a couple minor anxiety episodes, so I'm glad I didn't freek in front of everyone.

I am thinking this is about the game of pool, or swimming in a pool.
Either way, it sounds like fun.
I am glad you had a good night out.
Anxiety and PTSD can be manageable for us.
We do have to work on it, though, as you are doing.
It can be difficult because most people do not understand what is going on with us and that it is a medical condition and not a weakness in character.
The key is to get to the point where you don't care what other people think.
    Your focus will be you.
If you think you are making the right choices and acting accordingly, then what others say or do will not matter much at all.
Try and congratulate yourself for the positive aspects of this outing.
    There are many.
One step at a time, one day at a time.

Well good for you for going out! That is such a huge step forward. I would stand up and give you a round of applause :) I was advised by my psychologist that in social situations, people with PTSD will never feel completely comfortable. Which isn't the nicest thing to hear. But at the same time, it allows some space to brainstorm how to deal with situations like that. I have found that interacting with just one person at a time....pull a person aside and have a conversation....start a conversation within a group....etc. It all helps. It allows some semblance of comfort within a crowd! Keep up the good work bud :)
