Read your entry in BiP Group. Wondering how long you have been on these drugs - I have daughter who's Md,& hasSchizaffective disorder (a dreadful fright when I first saw it) - she's been on major tranx (used for schizophrenia - calmed her but turned into a robot & made her double her weight. She's now on Lithium and another drug, & is really cdoing well. I'm not up on the US Brand names, so must check. I'm a reactive depressive, so on meds since 1988. Tricyclics still work best (early '60s meds) - no weight gain, but v.v.dopey at first. Some of these meds take months to get used to: my problem is the only drug to help get me up in the morning ws taken off the market in l995 (insufficent number of prescriptions sold, I was told). Used to be Medical Librarian before retirement - think it's time I caught up with lastest stuff. Drug companies can be the pits. It's really hard to study when having sides - I quit post-grad study (combination of Depression, meds & menopause) No joy then, - too arthritic now. Worst experience ws being put on an SSRI in early l990s - had to go off the tricyclics - then these things gave me the most woeful shakes & dreaded anxiety. /straight off them - those were good old days when I actually had a psych.doc. There's not an available one i the State - so contemplating moving (not near elder d. though - her boyfriend is the pits - complete psychopath: spent most time in gaol. She picks up the most horrific males in Bars when hypermanic - & they never leave! No sense of self preservation - which is maybe the schizaffective bit, as I know others who have very good sense of self-preservation, even when hyopmanic. Any thoughts? Best regards JaneD...

- made me a little crazy i think the 150XL was too high a dosage for me i want to try a smaller one my boyfriend said i was being so awesome and back to my happy wonderful self and i want that
