I think it's a a disease. I try to quit...but memories of mom suffering linger...so I hit the bottle. My BF yells at me to stop, but I'm lost. Alcohol numbs the pain!

Do you think alcoholism is a disease or a choice? I've done research and found that it runs in families. (My granmother and mother liked booze) I'd like to cut back on my drinking, but don't know where to start.
