  so sorry to hear of your pain.
  make sure you keep a journal. which you may already be doing, for when you see your drs. it's odd yours is switching sides. i have not heard of tn doing this. i have heard of both sides. so make sure you explore all the diagnostic possibilities so you get the correct treatment. i have seen this several times. like it wasn't tn but an abcessed tooth or cluster headaches, post herpetic neuralgia after a bout of shingles. or cervical disc issues. some of us never do find out why or where this pain comes from. so blessings for good days

  Hi Janie, I am so sorry you are here at this group! I hope you don't mind that I put your name in your hug because I have to tell you that you just joined the best support group EVER!!!!! I have been here for over a year and we are the greatest goup of loving and supportive people that you will ever meet! Yes, I am bragging because I am saying that I will be here for you anytime you need me! And so will the other gals and there are a couple of guys (they tend to suffer in more silence) but everyone here is nice. I notice that in other groups that there is mean behavior like what is it called? oh, flaming (I saw this and it cracked me up - I thought give them a real problem!) ? but you will never find it here because we are in too much pain and we are here for support and to help each other. Well, you get the idea, I am in awe that you removed your teeth because that is what I was close to doing! I have had TN for 19 years and I am at my wits end with this disease. I have two your girls and they have always seen their mother in pain their whole lives. I sometimes can't do the normal things that a mother should do with them and my husband tries to help but he doesn't quite get it. TN can reck families and I have even seen people go through divorces because of it. What about you? You are Kevin's girl! You should write about yourself in the bio area and then you can put your treatments and the medicines you have tried on the side of your profile. I am taking some strong opiates and I don't list them because they make me nervous to list for some reason. I am taking morphine and oxycodone and it really helps my pain but the biggest help is neurontin. Are you on a nerve med? because if I skip my dose then the shocks come back full force and it makes me crazy!! It sounds like you have shocks and constant pain? I have both and the constant is even harder to deal with and that is where the opiates help. Well, let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
