I've been diagnosed with FM for over 18 yrs. I've tried everything. Cymbalta 60mg. dose worked best for managing pain, but after 6 mos. I developed more side affects such as colitis (which I had daily thereafter and have to use yet another med). Now that I am off Cymbalta, I get 3 more hours of sleep a night! Waiting to see if the colitis heals. Dizziness is disappearing, too.Waiting to try Lidocaine fusions at a Pain Clinic. Anybody have results with that? Nicky

Close Fibromyalgia
I'm trying to find a med that works for managing pain. I'm just getting off Cymbalta as it gave me too many harmful side effects (like colitis). Will be trying lidocaine infusions in Dec.09. Any recommendations?
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Severe diahrrea after stressful incident. Hasn't cleared up. Burning mouth, sore joints, disturbed sleep.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- Did not work.
- Elavil Working / Worked
- 30 lb. weight gain. Maybe I'll just have to be fat and pain-free.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Kept burning myself.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- worked only for a month then tingling, sensations came back
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- too many side effects
