Preventative Radiology Mood
Thursday, November 5, 2009 | An Anxious story

Has anyone out there had preventative radiation of the brain after being treated for lung cancer? How'd it go & what were the side effects? I need to decide if I'm going to have this done.

I'd never heard of this until your post, then I started looking online and found the following. http://www.ufscc.ufl.edu/Patient/c... After reading the article, I still have quality of life-related questions. I don't know what I'd do in your position. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

I'm not sure either, my radiologist says I could permanately losee my hair in that region & my fatigue level will go back up (it's bad enough already). The long term outlook doesn't seem worth it.
