About Me
My life is fucked! I was in a motorcycle accident 12-13-06 which left me with nerve damage in my groin leaving me with the constant feeling as if I were just kicked in the nuts. After 7 surgeries, a spinal cord stimulator implant and time in a psych ward, I am as good as I am gonna get, which is just not good enough to continue! My children are the only reason I have not drank a bottle of liquid courage and driven off a cliff, with the intention of making it look like an accident. Sorry to run on here. Hope you are all better than I.

I see that you are new here: talking about it is half the cure, as far as I am concerned. DS saved my life a few years ago. You can't argue with success. I ask you to just give it a little time...something/someone will 'click' for you and open a door you didn't notice before. You go on and have a nice weekend with your family, they are what the good life is all about lol.

hang in there, try a prayer, and try to invision yourself whole again. i have used hyponisis, it seems to be helping. i hope you find and answer.hugs cb

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I have had UC for 20 years and while I have been relatively symptom free lately, there are always issues.
Treatments
- Asacol Somewhat Helpful
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Dairy products, especially straight milk, are the only foods that I can tell have severe negative effects.
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Seems to be working.
- Azulfidine Working / Worked
- Entocort Working / Worked
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Works great but the side effects, both short and long term, are awful.
Close Chronic Pain
I have chronic pain from nerve damage due to a motorcycle accident. I am left with the constant feeling of just getting kicked in the testicles despite multiple surgeries and a nerve stimulator implant. It takes a lot of energy not to kill myself as I think about suicide daily, sometime hourly.
Treatments
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Works great but tollernce went up and up until I was maxed out.
- Lidoderm Not Working
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- It helps put me in another place mentally but still not great for pain relief.
- Methadone Somewhat Helpful
- It worked the best for pain but made me an angry almost homicidal maniac.
- Morphine Not Working
- Morphine sulphate made me sick to my stomach.
- Nerve Blocks Working / Worked
- Spinal cord stimulator implant which has been very good , just not complete as I am still left with constant pain, just to a lesser degree.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- Seems to be helping but it is hard to tell.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Works great short term but I maxed out as my tollerance went up and up.
- TENS Not Working
- Can't use as it as I was told that it would conflict with my spinal cord implant
- Spinal Cord Stimulator Working / Worked
- It definitely helps but the pain is still there always just to a lesser degree.
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been depressed for several years after an accident left me with damaged nerves and chronic pain. I think of suicide daily and sometimes hourly. That is it.
Treatments
- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- It worked for a awhile and then it stopped helping or my deression worsened.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- I guess it saved my life as I was going to kill myself and my depression/CBT group stopped and had me locked up. However, I am done with talk therapy at this time.
- Desipramine Working / Worked
- Not sure??
- Effexor Working / Worked
- It worked for a awhile and then it stopped helping or my deression worsened.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Helps me all asleep.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- I felt more depressed and suicidal in the first week to such a degree that my psychiatrist ceased it.
