Almost done tapering off caffeine Mood
Monday, November 2, 2009 | A General Update story

Well, my SLOW taper off caffeine had to get a push.  I was planning to taper off the caffeine over a month's time, which would be optimal, but when I saw the cardiologist, found out that I have to go off caffeine 24 hours before my treadmill test on Thursday the 4th.  Sooo, I tapered down the caffeine much quicker than I was planning.  I'm down to 25 mg of caffeine in the morning.  I do have a teeny headache, and have felt this way since I cut that morning caffeine down from 60 mg to 25 mg this weekend.  But, the other times of the day that I cut the caffeine out were almost headache free, so a slow taper really does work.  I will take my last 25 mg of caffeine tomorrow (Tues) and then won't be able to take any again until after the treadmill test on Thurs.  So, we'll see if I have a headache badly enough to take a shot after the test.  If so, I'll just drink something with a lose dose caffeine and continue the taper.  If not, I'll go off the caffeine entirely from then on.

Did really well this weekend.  Didn't even have caffeine free soda when it was around.  I just had my water bottles with the little add on powders.  Go me.
