Contracted a "mono-like" virus in 1987 in San Diego, Ca. Had a TERRIBLE sore throat (couldn't drink or eat) and diabling fatigue. Once recovered docs told me that I would carry the virus for life. Every few years I would have an "episode" -always started with a sore throat. If I went to bed and rested I could stave off a real episode. 2 yrs ago I began having DAILY fatigue. We are close to a CFS diagnosis, and with my own research I feel confident that is the problem.
