About Me
Our Daughter has a 39% curve and now at 15 months old she is in a Risser cast, at the same time they found through MRI she has a Hemivertebra S1, so the Dr is now saying surgery to remove it, I have many questions, and need input! We live in the Northwest and are going through Shriners, so thats a huge help! We also just discovered through school, that our son has a number of Autism Spectrum Disorders, so any info we can get now will really help!

Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
We just found out our son has PDD and SPD and various other signs of ASDs so we have many questions.
Treatments
- Early Intervention Working / Worked
- We have an amazing ASD specialist working with our son and his special ed teacher and Kindergarten teacher. This ASD specialist knows what she is doing and she works for the Willamette Education Services District. Right now she is evaluating him and getting to know him. We had an Occupational Health evaluation done recently at an OT office that revealed his disorders and gave a more clear diagnosis to what we always knew to be his "quirkiness" is now known as Autism.
- Occupational Therapy Too Soon to Tell
Close Scoliosis
Our 15 month old daughter has a 39% curve and rotation, which was only 20% 6 months earlier so it pretty much doubled in a short amount of time, so the Dr suggested a Risser cast which she is now wearing. But now he noticed the MRI shows a Hemivertebra in S1 meaning, now we know why it was getting so bad so fast. Good and bad news because the Dr wants to do surgery now to remove it. And we want to know if there are any other options and professional opinions.
