uncertainty -- why now?? Mood

Uncertainty -- there is so much of it in the world, in my life... it terrifies me. I am scared.  Why now, why is it when my children are so poised on their lives ?  Has it always been like this?  Is this world scarier than ever?  Please don't answer yes, because I know the answer.  I'm terrified.
