I have my married to my wonderful husband for almost 12 years. I have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I was an EMT before my illness. I recently moved to Arizona from South Carolina. Trying to find the right specialists for me has been a challenge.

Close Fibromyalgia
I wa diagnosed with Fibro/CFS, panic/anxiety disorder and Bi-polar about 6 years ago. No luck with meds so far. Just started Savella and Gabbapentin, so we shall see....
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Not Working
- No help at all.
- Cymbalta Not Working
- No response to it at all.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- But I was a drooling zombie, not worth it.
- Neurontin Too Soon to Tell
- Only been on it a month.
- TENS Working / Worked
- Was helping somewhat, but moved and cant find someone here that does it. Most say its ineffective, so they dont offer it.
- Ultram Not Working
- Kept having to up the dose, not worth it to take that many pills and finally hit the limit.
- Vitamin B12 Somewhat Helpful
- Have been taking it for 7 years due to Gastric Bypass surgery. I have to take it for the rest of my life. I dont see the effect on fibro/cfs though.
Close Anxiety
I have panic/anxiety disorder and am on Xanax. I want to find ways to combat this without drugs.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- Got addicted and had to wean off. Wont try that again. Wasnt anxious though.
- BuSpar Not Working
- Felt weird all the time and had terrible nightmares when I did sleep.
- Klonopin Not Working
- Didnt seem to relieve the anxiety and made my panic attacks seem worse.
- Trazodone Not Working
- Prescribed for insomnia, not luck
- Valium Working / Worked
- Worked but only in high doses, so they put me on Xanax.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- Helps me sleep which helps the anxiety. Havent had a panic attack in awhile. But dont want to get dependent on them. No side effects either.
- Zoloft Not Working
- Saw no difference than not taking it.
