About Me
I was just diagnosed as Bipolar II in 2009 but my PDr said I was miss diagnossed by previous PDrs for many years as Unipolar. He feels I may of been Bipolar for quite sometime. I was 34 when I was diagnosed. I also have Epilepsy and was diagnosed with that when I was 13 and all of the medications I have been for my Epilepsy also treat BP. I have been with with my wife now for 7 years and we got married in 2004. No children. We have two nephews that are married and we just reciently became great aunts to a wonderful great niece. BP does run in my family my Uncle (my mothers brother) was BP. He is no longer living due to health conditions not because of his BP thank God.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I am looking for a support system that will understand what I am going through. I have been battling issues for years with depression and possible mania. I have battled with many Psych Dr.s and therapist to try and get help to find out what was wrong with me over many years. I have finally found out in the last few weeks for sure after going to many Psych. Dr.s that I am Bipolar. My Dr now is willing to work with me but I know I need to find support from others.
Treatments
- Lamictal Too Soon to Tell
- I have only been on it for two months so far and now my Dr is increasing it.
- Seroquel Not Working
- I had bad side effects from this hallucenated on this medication with another one at the same time
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I am on this for my Epilepsy and Migrains not for my Bipolar at this this time.
Close Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I have PTSD due to being victum to child sexual abuse and being raped twice as adult and the one rape I was held hostage as well.
