Close Bipolar Disorder

I had a complete breakdown back in March. I am newly diagnosed with bipolar.

Treatments

Ativan Working / Worked

Used for anxiety as a PRN in the hospital. Can't remember the dosage.

Celexa Working / Worked

I'm going through a med change from Depakote to Lamictal and I've noticed since I haven't been on a mood stabilizer, I have been terribly hypomanic and nauseous due to the celexa. It has helped with the depression. I have no sex drive whatsoever. I take 20 mg twice a day.

Depakote Somewhat Helpful

It worked for about 5 months but I recently went into a hypomanic state so my doctor is switching me to Lamictal. It made me groggy and tired until my Dr. put me on the 250 mg extended release.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Too Soon to Tell

Just started this recently.

EMDR Too Soon to Tell

We haven't gotten into it enough yet but it is part of my therapy game plan.

Klonopin Working / Worked

I use it to calm down for bed everynight. I'm up to 1 mg and every so often I use smaller doses .25 or .5 in the day for anxiety or hypomania. I love it.

Lamictal Too Soon to Tell

I've been on 25mg for the last 2 weeks and just increased my dose to 50mg a day.

Seroquel Working / Worked

My pdoc just upped my dosage to 75mg before bedtime and 12.5mg breakfast lunch and dinner. I've been taking the daily doses as needed since it makes me a little foggy. I wake up feeling refreshed in the morning. It really resets my brain especially after a psychotic episode.

Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful

It worked along with the Celexa to bring me out of my depression but it got to be too much. It was making me unable to eat. I was on various doses, between 100mg and 300 mg a day and also extended release tablets.

Zyprexa Somewhat Helpful

Sometimes it helps me get to sleep but I don't really use it because it doesn't seem to help. The dose I'm on is a child's dose since I am very sensitive to meds.
