Close Behcet's Disease

I am a Behcet's Disease patient. Currently I do not know personally anyone else with this disease with it being so rare. I would like to not feel like the only one.

Treatments

Azathioprine Working / Worked

This for me took a higher dose to control my flare but yes does work without the side effects of prednisone. At 200mg i am flare free. But now weaning down to 150mg I slightly flared and been taking a baseline of 2.5 prednisone with it. I am still in this process now

Colchicine Somewhat Helpful

It initially feels like a miracle drug! Instant relief of severe swelling that made my legs look like tree trunks, painful erythum nodusum and painful dozen at a time mouth ulcers and a fog lifted from your head!! I also had bad blurry vision and red eyes for years that is helped. But made me feel hungry, and emotional. Overtime it depleted potassium causing bad cramping in my legs and feet, caused dry dry flaky skin, some hair loss, extremely sensitive to the sun, bad taste in throat.
