Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis

Hello, Was diagnoised with UC 1 1/2 yrs ago. The first drug to treat it did not work and was basically sick for a year with constant flare ups then started a new drug which has been very effective....I feel I'm not in remission. I hope, still taking the 2 nd drug that works.

Asacol Working / Worked

Did not work for me at all. Constant diarrhea, cramping, bloody stools, proctitis, ended up in ER then another colonoscopy, also had c-diff....very sick for a year, slowed down to 5-6 stools a day is all then things worsened.

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked

No chocolate!

Flagyl Working / Worked

Yes!

Lialda Working / Worked

Has been very effective for over 6 months. One small flare up!

Lomotil Working / Worked

Did not work a well as immodium for me.

Prednisone Working / Worked

In conjunction with Lialda, it was effective.

Probiotics Working / Worked

Didn't take for to long...made me very bloated and gassy.
