Hello to all, i am marc. I had a unrelated BMT in April of 1989, for CML. I am now 41 and live on the Cape. Experiencing some, well very late term GVH and treatment related issues. I love my work with dogs, love to travel and am otherwise lost in a world of pain and discontent. i am looking to reconnect in someways to the world that i was brought into by CML. Close Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)
I am here to try to get my head back on streight after 20 years of dealing with this all. sadly i did not seek consuling or support when going through it all just off and on.
Treatments
- Bone Marrow Transplant Working / Worked
- seeming went well, now more then 20 years later. but having some late term, well very late term side effects GVH and the such related to treatments.
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- Please see BMT response. Worked well in preparing my body for BMT, was fortunately enjoy THC and other meds. so have no recall of what agents or their specific benefits.
- Hydroxurea Somewhat Helpful
- Please see BMT response. I do not recall what this drug did for me specifically.
