I am a chronic pain sufferer, and am looking to share experiences, tips, and to try to help others in the struggle to live life in the fullest with our pain.

Treatments

Cymbalta Not Working

I took it when it first came out. I had suicidal thoughts from it, so stopped it immediately.

Flexeril Not Working

I'm allergic - sort of. I have a strange reaction to some meds like this - I get what they are trying to prevent. I had muscle spasms for 12 hours straight.

Lidoderm Somewhat Helpful

I use them when the meds I take aren't touching the pain in my lower back, buttocks and hips.

Lyrica Not Working

I reacted the same way I did to Neurontin. I get seizure-like activity. Discontinued

Methadone Not Working

I went off my meds to see if they were increasing my pain, but I might as well have been taking a sugar pill, as they did nothing to help at all

Morphine Working / Worked

This is the only type of medication that works for me, for long acting use.

Nerve Blocks Not Working

I've had them in my head, neck, and lower back, but they haven't worked for me.

Neurontin Not Working

Gave me seizure-like activity so much so that I had an EEG to see if I suddenly had epilepsy. No pain relief from it, even though most of my pain is nerve related.

Oxycodone Working / Worked

I used Oxycontin when I first went on meds, and it was wonderful. It erased the pain. But when I moved, they wouldn't prescribe it, so I've been on others that don't work as well ever since.

TENS Not Working

It only increased my pain.

Topamax Not Working

allergic. Discontinued.

Zanaflex Working / Worked

It helped with my pain alot but under military medical care it has been taken away.
