It's so very cold,

here in the dark.

I reach out for your warmth,

and feel so empty inside.

I sink beneath the surface,

the coldness spreads through me.

I need to find some sense,

my heart screams just let go.

I search the depths for meaning,

they say only cold and empty.

I seek for reality and fulfillment,

but I've fallen too far.

The water makes me pale and weak,

so deep within, I start to freeze.

I reach out for your warmth,

and I'm left, empty inside.
