I'm a nurse practitioner in psychiatry. Divorced with 2 adult sons and 2 grandsons. I have 2 small mini havanese (mother and daughter) who weigh 4 lbs each. I love boating. I hope to live on my boat some day.

I quit 15 months ago when all this illness set in ... You can do it ... I will send you some info and you might consider joining the smoking addiction and recovery group here on DS. You will feel much better if you quit .... Please consider it.

Receive and give support for living life with Lupus.
Treatments
- Celebrex Somewhat Helpful
- Better with than without. No side effects.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Did have nausea and dry heaves in the am. It did help with energy.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Periodic short term titrating doses. Wonderful drug. Had panic attacks, heart rate bounding 105 - 112. Fear of loss of calcium. Already have Osteoporosis.
- Zocor Working / Worked
- Helpful for athrosclerosis. Think this medication causes me to sweat at night. My pillow is soaking wet in the am.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Helps to treat pain. Improved mood. May contribute to HTN. I did go off for a while to see if BP decreased but it didnt.
Close Smoking Addiction & Recovery

- Chantix Not Working
- I got aggressive. Was starting to work.
- Hypnotherapy Working / Worked
- Stopped smoking for 8 years. Taught me self hypnosis.
- Nicotine Gum Not Working
- Mouth sores.
- Nicotine Patch Not Working
- Take it off to smoke. I have used patches all over the place!
- Smoking Cessation Class Working / Worked
- Was good assist.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- Increased anxiety.
