Type: Clinical (Major) Depressiondiagnosed 4 years ago but have had it longer. diagnosed bi-polar 2 years ago. have had problems with alcohol, have tried to kill myself twice by cutting my wrists.
Treatments
- Celexa Not Working
- have taken it seperately and with lamictal. did not work
- Cymbalta Not Working
- have taken it seperatley and with lamictal. did not work
- Effexor Working / Worked
- currently taking with lamictal for 6 weeks
- Lexapro Not Working
- Paxil Not Working
- Prozac Not Working
- Seroquel Not Working
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- they are just beginning to understand since my last suicide attempt
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- taking at nite to sleep with effextor and lamictal in am
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- is currently working with effexor
Close Alcoholism
iam here because i have tried everything else and i have not been able to stay sober more than 3 or 4 months. i used to be a daily drinker until i was diagnoised with depression. i than was a periodic drinker when the new meds i was on quit working. im on about my 8th new med. i HAVE to quit d drinking because 4 weeks ago i got drunk and cut my wrists!!!

- did it seriosly about 15 years ago. i don't think it took
- AA Meetings Somewhat Helpful
- we dont have a large selection of meetings where i live and i can't get into it or find a sponser
- Ativan Somewhat Helpful
- use when extremely stressed
- Cold Turkey Not Working
- i quit for a while till im very depressed and then im off the wagon for a day or two.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- i use it to sleep at nite
