  all meds are different some of them take several weeks to get at a level in your system to make a difference. call dr anyway. he needs to know what is going on.

  hey mustang5
  cool screen name coming from a family of mustang lovers! i am sorry you are suffering. my pain is left sided too. the ice pick pain i get near eye is wicked. i noticed it was worse when i went outside in sunlight and squinting set it off even more so i always wear sunglasses. try to figure out if anything you are doing makes pain worse. dr will want to know that too. i also have pain in temple area and cheek and teeth back of head and neck, i have had this for almost six years.
  the best thing to do for dr is make a list. if you try to remember everything you will always leave something out. on the list write when it started, where the pain is, the swelling issues, what the pain feels like. a lot of what you wrote on this site would be helpful. my dr told me tuesday for the first time that i have some kind of sensitive tn nerves. because i got a second condition last year on right side, ramsey hunt syndrome. this is like having bells and shingles at same time. caused all kinds of nerve damage. so who know what goes on with these nerves and dr said maybe the original left sided issues i was having was also from virus that attacked right side more recently.
  i went through four neurologists until i found one who took good care of me. so if this dr doesn't listen AND ANSWER QUESTIONS then don't wait to see another for too long. this was my mistake i shouldn't of wasted time with drs who weren't listening. this is why i opened this site for tn sufferers. if i could help one person get help sooner it would be worth it.
