47 yr old Christian Widowed Mom peeking out slowly and seeing what the good lord has in store for me. I lost my beloved husband of four years to Espophagael Cancer, June 2007. He fought courageously for 13 mos. I'm now raising our 4 yr old daughter on my own and there's not a hour of the day we don't think of him. I have a 20 yr old son who lives on his own and I only get to see when he's not working. So with that, I try to look at each day as a positive and move on with greeting each day with a smile. I realize that with becoming a widow and putting myself out there now as in the 'single catagory" that men are attracted to woman physically first. I have set a goal to lose the extra weight I have been carrying around and to become heart healthy.

I know exactly how you feel. I will be 44 next month and have been without my husband going on 2 years. I am also trying to raise a soon to be 16 yr old daughter on my own. I truly miss the companionship and having someone to talk to.
