Hi, my first name is Steve. I have had Autosomal Dominant ONA for as long as I can remember. It runs in my family. I cant get a license, and it is hard to get a job, because I can't pass a vision test. I hope that after college, a school district will hire me to teach science.

I have optic atrophy as a result of retrobulbar optic neuritis which left me partially blind in my right eye.

Close Optic Atrophy
I was never diagnosed with anything until three days ago. All my life I could not see well. Failed some classes in school, never got a drivers license and so on. I went to the Nuero Op. to give it one more shot. To see if maybe he could tell me they were going to magically Zap my eyeball with a crazy new procedure. That didn't happen, bummer. I just now am realizing that I will never be able to drive a car. I was really hoping to gain some freedom.
