Diagnosed with HCV in 2000, genotype 1A. Went through 48 weeks of pegylated interferon/ribavarin about four years ago. It worked while I was on it but relapsed after I stopped. Some improvement in my liver biopsy after treatment so just getting blood test every six months and hoping something new comes along.

Treatments
- Milk Thistle Not Working
- Been taking it since 2000 and so far doesn't seem to make much difference. But can't hurt.
- Pegylated Interferon Working / Worked
- Worked while I was taking it but relapsed soon after treatment. My liver biopsy showed improvement after treatment.
- Ribavarin Working / Worked
- Again, worked while I was taking it but relapsed soon after treatment. Made my skin really dry and itchy and I was weak as a kitten.
