    • Close Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS)

I got diagnosed with GBS last Dec. I was in ICU for 2 months and on life support for 3.I was transferred to a rehab hospital for 3 months. I was sent home and I'm doing P.T.&O.T.twice a week. I'm walking with a walker but have little feeling from the knees down. I'm also dealing with fatigue.

      Treatments

      Plasmapheresis Working / Worked
I had plasmapheresis when I was in the ICU unit it was a treatment which involved 6 rounds it took a while to work it was like I got worse before I got better. I do not recall having them all done I was on heavy meds so I only remember the last round. It made me very weak and tired but the end result was good it worked.
      Supportive Care Considering
I have had a little support when i was in the rehab hospital. Once home there really isn't any support systems other then family and friends.
