I love life and try everyday to know it is a beautiful gift. I love my children very much, however I am at such an age that I have had to take sometime for myself. I am blessed that two of my children are adults and the other two are well on there way. I love dogs, horses and long walks. The ocean gives me particular peace for my soul and song for my heart.

Welcome to DS. I'm relatively new here too, but have found it so helpful. I disassociate too and it has been really hard on me, my career, my family (e.g., sister/brother) and husband and kids. Sometimes whole blocks of time goes by that I never remember. It is so bizarre that I'm still talking and moving, but I'm not "there." I don't have any easy answers for you. The one thing I did want to say is that you should try to have compassion for yourself. I'm not so good at this myself, but I know it's very important. Feel free to talk to me or others at DS about how you're feeling, because we've all been there one way or another. The amount of support I get from this group is really amazing. So glad you posted. Would like to keep in touch with you and see how you're doing.
