i understand everything you've said, sometimes it feels like nothing will fill the void, stick with it, it will get better, starting something new is a good idea it will give you a new focus. I have just joined a breast cancer survivors Dragon boat rowing team, really out of character for me, never done anything like that before but I went along last thursday and I really enjoyed it, it was really different and there is a good social side to it too which i'm sure i'll get into when i know them a bit better xxx

Close Anxiety
Anxiety that leads into panic attacks all based on fear of my future role in life.....silly, huh? I worry much more about next year, than today.
Treatments
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- this and a xanax helps tremendously when I am in full blown panic attack
- Hypnotherapy Not Working
- I was too restless to ever get into the state I needed to get into. I felt that the therapist didn't understand.
- Meditation Working / Worked
- if I can catch it before it starts escalating too far, and I can get into a meditative state, it helps, but rarely can I catch it in time
- Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
- sometimes when I am just beginning to feel sad or anxious, diversion can help, but I rarely catch it in time to do this
- St. John\'s Wort Working / Worked
- Xanax Working / Worked
- I only take this when I am in panic attack or feel one coming on. Works great, but hard to get up next morning.
- Zoloft Not Working
- did not work for me
- Effexor Working / Worked
- I know this works because if I try to wean off or forget to take I will have a panic attack in exactly 24 hours.
Close Menopause
menopause may be contributing to my anxiety
