Had large bilateral pulmonary embolism earlier this year (2009)

Treatments

Heparin Working / Worked

Had Fragmin (dalteparin sodium injection) = medicine called low–molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) initially until warfarin dose was at therapeutic levels. Yes it worked. Side effects were minimal, as injections go , it stings big time!!

Coumadin Working / Worked

struggled to get dosage correct INR constantly fluctuating. Side effects seem to be increased intolerance to cold feel muddled up alot of the time also.
