Close Rape
I was in a relationship for about a year (2007-2008) where I was repeatedly raped and made to perform sexual acts I didn't want to do. I was afraid to leave him because of former religious beliefs. Even though it has been a while since I was able to get out of there, I still struggle.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- My therapist does not seem to have much experience working with girls like me. We didn't really talk much about the issues that brought me to her.
- Talking Too Soon to Tell
- I have talked to my best friend who is now my fiancee and my mother. They are both incredibly supportive. I also told my doctor.
Close Eating Disorders
Type: AnorexiaI've suffered from anorexia nervosa for eleven years. I've been in and out of remission in the past five years. I'm struggling to maintain my health.
Treatments
- Residential Treatment Center Somewhat Helpful
- It brought me out of immediate danger, but I relapsed within a year. It focused a lot on making me eat, but it did not focus very much on what brought me there.
Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I have had PTSD for almost three years since I was raped repeatedly in an abusive relationship.
