About Me
My brother, David, whom I was very close to, accidentally overdosed April 24, 2009. His death has been really hard for me to accept. My parents have already passed away - in 2000 and 2003. I have a sister that has been in a coma for 28 years. My husband and I miscarried and have decided to not have children. All this and I will be 40 in December. I have been in recovery from addiction for nearly 5 years (Oct. 22, 2004).

Interests
I love going to church every Sunday, attending Celebrate Recovery on occassions. I love spending time with my husband and also having monthly girl get togethers with my true friends.

Close Cocaine Addiction & Recovery
My clean date is Oct. 22, 2004. I was a meth and cocaine addict for 3 years.
Treatments
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Somewhat Helpful
- Went to meetings every day for the first year, then they just got depressing.
- Residential Treatment Center Working / Worked
- Went to treatment the first time at Father Martin's Ashely in Maryland. I loved it there. I met some neat people and they gave me the tools to stay clean. I wasn't ready to stay clean though. Four months later, I was at the bottom. I went to Peavy Switch Recovery Center in Lufkin and worked my program really hard. I made alot of breakthroughs and decided that I wanted my life to change. I have clean ever since the day I checked in! Praise God
