I work full time and am a mom to a son who is almost a teenager. :). I was have not spoken to my mother in almost ten years (my choice, not hers) and I am looking for closure and commradery. I also suffer from fibromyalgia that I believe was brought on, in part, by the stress of growing up with my mother. Anywho, I'm hoping to gain a little insight and perhaps make a few friends.

Close Fibromyalgia
I have had fibromyalgia for the past nine years.... I HATE everything about it and I'm not coping very well lately. Truthfully, I can't stand another day of struggle... Fatigue... Depression... Ibs... Rls... Eczema... When is enough going to be enough?! And, why me?!?!? I don't WANT this to be my life!!!! I'm only 33 and I've had this 'condition' or disease since I was 24. I want to be young and happy and full of life!!!

- Worked for a while but I developed an addiction and then the opiod caused more pain due to the long term use. I no longer take any opiates.
Open Prescription Drug Abuse
I put myself into treatment on feb 7, 2007 and I have been clean ever since - it took A LOT of hard work and changing but I did it. When I checked into intensive outpatient I was taking anywhere from 20 to 25 lorcet 7.5 everyday and I was in a constant state of withdrawal... I couldn't seem to take enough pills to take the hurt away. While in treatment I started taking suboxone and it helped with the withdrawal symptoms.... I don't know what I would have done without the suboxone and the wonderful therepists that helped me and listened to me and helped me help myself.

Open Chronic Pain
I have been dealing with the chronic pain of fibromyalgia. Here lately, I have become quite frustrated with the boundries of having chronic pain. This really isn't how I saw my life for myself and I wish I could have a 'do-over'!
