How I was Diagnosed Mood
Sunday, September 27, 2009 | A Rambling story
I was diagnosed with NCAH (non-classical Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia) at the age of 8. I am now twelve. (the info on this is wrong lol). And i was wondering how other people handle this. I have been handling this good and its not a big issue for me, but i was wondering what people have to go through. So far i have to take 3 and a half pills of Cortef (Cordisal or somethin like that) and 1 pill of Florinef (Fludrocortisone). Its not that much, so its good that i will have to take less when im older.  but i get blood tests (or blood work, whatever you call it) every about three months or so. the first two times, i didnt have EMLA cream. and it HURT. so we got that and i have been using it ever since. EMLA cream is stuff that nums your arms so it doesnt hurt. so if you hate getting blood tests, or it hurts you, i recommend EMLA cream. talk to me if you have the same problem. i can give u a lotta more info on what i do to handle it.
