Not much new here; but, I realized I haven't updated my journal for a while.
I'm almost done with my step 1 patches and ready to step down to step 2. I read a post that someone wrote implying that you don't really go through hell week until you're completely done with patches. I hope that's not true; guess I'll find out soon.
I have 3 more smoking cessation classes. The last week is a celebration. Of our original 29 class members, we only have about 12 left. Sad - but the teacher was not surprised.
I've been having a tooth issue this week. Dentist put on a temporary crown last week and didn't hurt until yesterday. Then, it hurt bad enough to wake me up from a sound sleep. I went back and he said I need a root canal. Great!! So, that's scheduled for next week. He gave me some pain medication but it's hard to take that and work. Oh well, didn't make me want to smoke - which is a good thing.
Tomorrow is 6 weeks - 42 days - hard to believe. My DS friends have helped me so much. I'm so glad I found this group. I looked back and found that I started posting on day 3. My patch helps, my co-worker/friend who quit with me helps and my smoking cessation helps - but this helps me the most.
I've met some awesome supportive people who I'm proud to call my friends. You guys are the best. Thanks to all of you.
